Former LA Laker Kareem Rush debuted on UBC-TV Network launch

Hackettstown, N.J. (Sunday, December 9, 2012) – The Jersey Express made a huge statement; in there National TV debut on UBC-TV Network!  The Express moved to 2-0 on the season, with a 139-96 win over the Connecticut TopBallerz at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ.

The Express helped debut the ABA on UBC-TV Network (Urban Broadcasting Company).  With the help of Former NBA player Kareem Rush, Recording Artist Athem, and the UBC Mix Dancers, the Express provided the highlight of the evening, by putting the stamp on a wonderful evening of entertainment.  Led by Forward William McDonough’s 28pts & 13rbds, the Express had 8 of 10 players score in double figures, for the 2nd straight game.  Devon Young had 21 & 13, and Ja’Shon Mixon followed with 20 & 8.

‘I was very happy with our team’s effort on Saturday night.  Everyone showed up and performed in the nationally televised game.  It was a great experience and hopefully the Jersey Express proved that we are a competitive team in a competitive league; stated William McDonough.

Head Coach Joseph Amador ‘I’m very proud of the team for playing within the game plan, and staying organized, and running the offense thru our bigs.  We controlled the boards, and had great transition defense.  Everyone stepped up on both sides of the floor.  We’re happy that we were able to show our team chemistry on a national stage.

‘I’m absolutely thrilled with the way the evening went.  The players showed that they’re ready for prime-time, by putting on a display of team basketball.  The fans got a chance to witness the talented, exciting players, and we showed the viewing audience that the Express roster boasts NBA and Overseas quality players.  I invite everyone to come out, and experience one of our games for themselves.  I’d like to thank Centenary College AD, Billie Blackwell, and her staff for their assistance and efforts in helping the event go off without a hitch.  I believe we accomplished our goal of putting on an exciting show for the fans, and made the entire evening, an ‘Express Experience’; stated Jersey Express Owner, Marsha Blount.
