Express Get Back-To-Back Wins Over Blazers

30 December 2008

The Jersey Express and the West Virginia Blazers played the second half of a back-to-back on Sunday afternoon, in front of a sparse crowd and gave them there money’s worth, with the Express defeating the Blazers 119-106.

Jersey was led by rookie Jamal Webb who came off the bench to drop in 21 points on 9 for 15 shooting. Lance Hazel scored 16, and Isaiah Hunter finished with 14 points in the win. The 3-point shooting of Desi Crisp, who finished with 28 points, led West Virginia. The Jersey Express again had 6 players score in double figures for the game.

“The game was played on a day when both the Jets and Giants played huge games. In a state that hosts the 2008 Super Bowl Champion Giants, it’s tough to play a back-to-back on such a huge football weekend; stated Express team President Marsha Blount.

The Express play at such a high pace, they promise highflying, exciting, fan friendly entertainment, at an affordable price. That’s what fans that attend an Express game get. You’re invited to come out and see for yourself, what the Express Experience is all about.

The Express are averaging 109 points per game, and are currently 4-4 on the season. On Sunday, January 4th @ 3pm, the Express will again play host to the Albany Patroons of the CBA in a game that will definitely be worth attending. The Express lost to Albany by 7 points in their last meeting.

Tickets are available online or at the box office on game day.
